Unity Earrings

These are absolutely gorgeous pair of earrings, in fact I am going to wear them to my wedding ceremony! I hope you like them as much as I do. You can change the feel of the earrings by changing the color of them.

They are also very easy to make, so have fun with it.

Here is what you will need

Fine wire (tarnish resistant)  –  26, 28 (the larger the gauge, the smaller the wire is, which makes it easier to work with your crochet hook) I used a silver 26 gauge.

Crochet hook – I used a 3.25 hook.

2 earring hooks – which ever design you like.

Beads – for each earrings ( 1 large round bead, 7 seed beads, and end beads). The end beads I used were 2 seed beads of the same color.

Wire pliers– these are not needed but make your life a lot more easy while pushing the tails through the beads.

Scissors – to cut the wire of course (it’s very fine so normal scissors will work).

Step 1)

Put your large bead and 2 seed beads on the wire. Slipknot, chain 2, chain 1 with seed bead, chain 1, chain 1 with seed bead, chain 1, chain 1 with large bead fasten off and wrap the wire and pull the wire through the bead a couple of times to make sure it is secure.

Step 2)

Put your 5 seed beads on the wire. Slipknot, chain 2, chain 1 with seed bead, chain 1, chain 1 with seed bead, chain 1, chain 1 with bead, chain 1 with seed bead, chain 1, chain 1 with seed bead fasten off and wrap the wire and pull the wire through the bead a couple of times to make sure it is secure.

Step 3)

Put the 2 chains on top of each other and bring the first ones tail through the second one. Add your end beads, wrap around the earring hooks, wrap the wire right under the earring hook. Continuing the spiral motion wrap the 2 wires around the end beads and weave it into the chain. You can of course attach the earring hook which ever way you want.

Step 4)

Wrap the chain without the large bead around the chain with the big bead.

Repeat for the other earring.
